THE DARK WATERS
Digital collage

2021

Dark waters are disturbing, bottomless, inevitable. They speak to me in the language of winds and darkness. All this journey in a world where there is no suffering and no end to suffering, no wisdom and no achievement.

Paths and Borderlands
2021

Digital collage

My works are stories about loneliness, about losing and finding physicality, identity, and personal boundaries.
Through the lens of fashion, I look at the stereotypes of our perception of what is feminine and what is masculine. At the extreme ambivalence of evaluating the same figure, color, and thing, which gives rise to external double standards and internal tragic self-denial any or all of oneself.

Each collage “comes together” as a path: from loss of balance, from the devaluation of femininity and vulnerability, through overcoming imposed roles and formulas of beauty and significance, through reconciliation with one's true self and one's boundaries to finding support and recognizing one's own purpose.
DREAMS ABOUT THE DANCING BRIDGE
2024

Digital collage

I live in Volgograd. It so happens that our city has a bridge across the Volga River, and 14 years ago I lived literally 10 meters from it. The windows of my house overlooked the bridge.
On May 20, 2010, from 5:47 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the bridge decided to start swaying vertically. Cars driving across the bridge bounced, and police officers and onlookers stared in amazement. And I was asleep.
In the morning, I learned about this remarkable event from Japan. A friend wrote to me, asking enthusiastically if I had managed to see what was happening from my window.
As it turned out later, the bridge was made to dance by the formation of the Karman vortex street (whatever that means), but what made me go to bed at 5 p.m. on May 20, 2010, is still unknown to science.

HIDDEN IN THE DETAILS
2019

Digital collage

Usually, my city is perceived through images of 3-5 landmarks, without paying much attention to the subtle, hidden details everywhere, strange and beautiful, architectural and unpretentious, ancient and/or simply irrelevant/incomprehensible against the backdrop of our present. In the unremarkable details that reveal the ordinary but lively face of the city. I want people to look at Volgograd from an unusual angle, to see it as something smaller, but at the same time greater.
